dream finally came true for the community of Storikhel area of Khyber District; when it’s first ever suspension bridge was completed by SRSP. The bridge will benefit over 3,000 households extending in both Khyber and Orakzai districts. This will not only facilitate faster movement and ease out inconvenience for the people but will also ensure access to services and consumer goods on daily basis. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Member National Assembly Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Afridi, Deputy Commission Khyber District, representatives of local formation, officials of SRSP and scores of community elders. The total cost of the bridge is PKR 8.9 million which is funded by the Government of Germany through Kfw to support Reintegration and Rehabilitation for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in newly merged districts of KP. At the end of the ceremony Deputy Commissioner Khyber chaired a “Khuli Kachehri” (open court) for the people of Storikhel and addressed their issues.
